Along with her MMA modeling work she has also been featured in Mutiny Magazine, Fashion World Magazine and Surreal Beauty Magazine to name a few and spent some time on the Denver Dream Team for the Lingerie Football League a few years ago. Keep on reading below to find out what else we learned about our August 2014 MMA babe of the month Christina Wittman.

How did you get into the world of MMA?

-I basically married into it, and I am grateful for this!! I get a front row seat to what MMA is all about and all that goes into it!! There is nothing like sitting next to Trevor watching fights as he talks about what he sees and what each fighter could do to come out with the W.

What were you doing before you became involved in MMA?

-Boxing!! That's where my husband originally came from and he is still a part of it. Trevor and I have been together for 11 years, and married 9, so a lot of my life has luckily for me been with the man of my dreams!!

Who are your favorite MMA fighters?

-All the Grudge Fighters!! Man I tell you we have one amazing and outstanding team!! Everyone at Grudge supports one another a trillion percent. From an amazing general manager, to all the dedicated and knowledgeable trainers, to all the hard training and skillful fighters, to all our members who don't fight but train at Grudge and have given HUGE support to all the fighters and trainers we have. Without everyone involved in Grudge it couldn't be as big as it is. We are one HUGE family!! And I have got to say none of this would be possible without the blood, sweat, tears, love, and support of our owners Trent and Karin Wittman.

What would your fight name be if you were a fighter?

-Christina "The Rock Star" Wittman and I would walk out to Hed PE's songs “Suffa” and “One More Body”.

What is something most people don't know about you?

-I was raised by two amazing women, and last year my daddy and I found each other. It's a super happy and joyous story and should be a Lifetime movie one day!! I went from being an only child to having 5 sisters and another awesome momma, Dorothy!! YAY!!

How do you spending your free time?

-I spend it with my family, or if its winter we make free time to go snowboarding. I also go to concerts to see my favorite bands that I never miss!!

Are you single? Guess that was already answered.

-Happily Married to my Best Friend.

What do you look for in a guy?

-Humor, happy, positive, motivating, caring, loving, giving, and loves me for who I am!! That is me describing my handsome one in a million husband Trevor Wittman.

What are your turn-ons?

-That feeling of real security and knowing that the man I love only wants to be with me, that feeling of real commitment, trust and cherishment, being complimented and feeling the genuineness in it. And when my man treats others with kindness and respect.

What are your turnoffs?

-Cocky, arrogant, mean to others, hatefulness, and negativity.

What would you say is your best feature?

-I would have to say my legs, skin, and eyelashes. Oh and my smile that keeps on giving!! I love to smile at everyone and spread the love!!

What are your future plans or dreams in life?

-To have a home in different parts of the country and world. To give back helping others and animals with every chance I get.

Any special shout outs or thank you's?

-First off I have to thank my AMAZING husband who has always supported my dreams and goals, my two AMAZING kids that I love and adore more than life itself. My two amazing and beautiful Moms, Barb and Jessie, all my amazing LeDoux and Whalen family, my handsome and wonderful Daddy, Chuck Cusimano, who is an amazing country singer, song writer and guitar player and to the Cusimano's, and all the awesome Wittman's from my husband’s side. To all the great photographers I have worked with including Cliff Workman and Ian Harris. To all my amazing friends, all my cherished amazing fans, and my modeling idol, the beautiful and amazing Esther Hanuka aka Queen Esther. I am grateful and thankful for you all!! I wouldn't be where I'm out without your love and support!!

Thank you very much for your time Christina and glad to have you back on Babes of MMA! For more on our August 2014 MMA babe of the month Christina Wittman please visit her Facebook fan page, Facebook, Twitter, Model Mayhem and Fashion World Models pages.

Fighter babe Jinh Yu Frey (2-0) returns to the cage this Saturday for Invicta FC 8 at the Municipal Auditorium in Kansas City, Missouri. Fighting out of Arlington, Texas we recently caught up with Jinh prior to her Invicta FC debut this Saturday for the interview below to learn a little more about her.

How did you get involved in MMA and how long have you been training?

-Just a new way to get in shape and 6 years later I'm still here.

Where are you currently training, and what's a typical training week like for you?

-Mohler MMA and I've been cross training with Team Takedown. I try to train 6 days a week, but I listen to my body and if I need an extra day I take it.

Tell us about your upcoming fight, who you're fighting and where?

-I'm fighting on Invicta FC 8 in Kansas City, Missouri against Jodie Esquibel (3-1).

What is your best experience as a fighter? What is your worst?

-I guess my best experience was my last fight. I had a fantastic KO win while defending my first title.

-My worst I suppose was my last loss as an amateur. I trained so hard, but still came up short. But that loss prompted me to change a lot about my fight camps and train smarter, so I was able to take something from it and turn it into something positive.

What advice would you give to other women who are reading this interview and want to get started in MMA?

-Just take the plunge, you never know until you try.

What or who are your inspirations in MMA and life?

-There are a number of people who have come from humble beginnings or overcome intense adversity to succeed, to me, those are the most inspiring.

Who are your favorite MMA fighters?

-There are so many good fighters out there these days; it's hard to limit it to one or two.

How do you enjoy your free time when not training or fighting?

-I read a lot and I backpack abroad with my husband.

For those who will inquire we have a couple questions for the male readership as well.

Are you single? In case our readers missed that from your last answer.

-Nope.

What do you look for in a guy?

-Humor.

Lastly before we let you go we would love to hear about your future plans and let you send some shout outs.

Any future plans or dreams?

-I'm just taking it one day at a time. Everyday new opportunities arise that I couldn't have even dreamed possible the day before.

Any shout outs you would like to make?

-I'd like to thank my husband, my coaches, my team and training partners at Mohler MMA. Invicta FC for this amazing opportunity, and my sponsors who support me on this wild journey: Damage Control Mouthguards, Apocalypse MMA, KV Cattle Co, Fritz Fowler, Gamma Labs, Revgear, and Soul Electronics.

Thank you very much for your time Jinh and good luck on fight night! Click here to purchase tickets to Jinh’s fight or tune into Fight Pass to watch the live stream. Send your shout outs to Jinh on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter!

Fighter babe Michelle "Thundercat" Ould (7-3) returns to the cage this Saturday for Invicta FC 8 at the Municipal Auditorium in Kansas City, Missouri. Fighting out of Anaheim, California we recently caught up with Michelle prior to her Invicta FC debut this Saturday for the interview below to learn a little more about her.

How did you get involved in MMA and how long have you been training?

-I was tired of posting bail for getting in bar fights so I started training so I wouldn't be a loser anymore. That started in 2007.

Where are you currently training, and what's a typical training week like for you?

-Out of Team Quest at Dan Henderson’s Athletic Fitness Center in Temecula, California. We have pro practice every day 1030-1230 and a ton of other morning and evening classes that I will take depending on my schedule and what I need to work on. There is never a typical week. We go live a lot and it’s pretty brutal.

Tell us about your upcoming fight, who you're fighting and where?

-I am fighting September 6th in Kansas City, Missouri vs. Deanna Bennett (4-0). She is undefeated and beat Juliana Pena so it should be a tough, fun time.

What is your best experience as a fighter? What is your worst?

-Best, my body looks good from training.

-Worst, my face looks worse from training.

What advice would you give to other women who are reading this interview and want to get started in MMA?

-Take your time choosing a team, gym, coaches, managers, etc. There are a lot of shady people out there so do your research.

What or who are your inspirations in MMA and life?

-Too many to really name specifically. We have handicapped people that train in our gym every day and there are also fighters like Nick Newell who inspire me to not give up and realize how lucky I am physically. In life, people like my mom who have been through serious abuse, abandonment, foster care, and has been sober for over 15 years but is the most lovable, patient person you could meet instead of being a cold hearted bitch. Like me.

Who are your favorite MMA fighters?

-Dan Henderson, Tarec Saffiedine, Ronda Rousey, Tecia Torres, the Diaz brothers, Frankie Edgar, BJ Penn, Joseph Benavidez and most of all Team Alpha Male. I could go on and on.

How do you enjoy your free time when not training or fighting?

-Doing nothing. I love doing nothing.

For those who will inquire we have a few questions for the male readership as well.

Are you single?

-Depends who you ask.

What do you look for in a guy or girl?

-I like manly ass men who can hunt, wrestle, clean, cook, just take care of biz and feminine girls with a brain and sense of humor.

What are your turn-ons?

-Funny people.

What are your turnoffs?

-Stupid people.

What would you say is your best feature?

-The tattoo on the back of my neck.

Lastly before we let you go we would love to hear about your future plans and let you send some shout outs.

Any future plans or dreams?

-To get out of MMA with the least amount of brain damage as possible so I can finish school. I would like to work with troubled youth as I had a messed up childhood and I had zero respect for counselors who couldn't relate. I want to be able to show kids that come from drug riddled families, instability, ghetto, etc, that they can do anything they want if they put the time and effort into it.

Any shout outs you would like to make?

-Linda Kriner, Sam Wilson, my family, my team, my coaches, and all of my sponsors. To everyone that believed in me even when I didn't.

Thank you very much for your time Michelle and good luck on fight night! Click here to purchase tickets to Michelle’s fight or tune into Fight Pass to watch the live stream. Send your shout outs to Michelle on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter!

Fighter Babe Stephanie Eggink Fights for the Invicta FC Strawweight Title this Saturday

Fighter babe Stephanie "Snowflake" Eggink (4-1) steps back into the cage this Saturday for Invicta FC 8 and the strawweight title at the Municipal Auditorium in Kansas City, Missouri. We recently caught up with Stephanie prior to her big title fight this Saturday for the interview below to learn a little more about her.

How did you get involved in MMA and how long have you been training?

-I started training MMA in 2009, and started fighting in 2010. Prior to then I was strictly boxing. I was on the USA boxing team in 2007, then turned pro in 2009, around the same time I started training MMA.

Where are you currently training, and what's a typical training week like for you?

-I currently train out of Next Edge Academy in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. A training week for me depends on my work schedule. I am a paramedic and work 3 days on and 3 off. So the days I don’t work I’m getting 2-3 sessions in a day, the days I do work I’m getting one in the morning before work. My schedule is crazy but it’s worth it.

Tell us about your upcoming fight, who you're fighting and where?

-I am fighting a girl from Finland, I would tell you her name (Katja Kankaanpaa 9-1-1) but I promise I would spell it wrong. The fight will be in Kansas City and is for a vacant 115 lb belt.

What is your best experience as a fighter? What is your worst?

-My best experience was fighting for the XFC title. I was ready to go all 5 rounds but I only had to go one. I was more ready and more confident for that fight than I ever have been before. I look back to that fight anytime I doubt myself.

-My worst experience would be when I got knocked out. Enough said.

What advice would you give to other women who are reading this interview and want to get started in MMA?

-Train because you love the sport, not because you want fame or attention. Don’t get into this sport because you want to pose in a sports bra, PLEASE! I see a trend happening that I despise, and I hope it stops before it ruins the sport.

What or who are your inspirations in MMA and life?

-My family. My parents are my biggest support system. They have never pushed me to fight but have always been my biggest fans. They have also instilled in me the desire to have a career outside of fighting, to always have a plan B. I thank them for that, even though I thought it was a stupid idea up until about 2 years ago, they were right.

Who are your favorite MMA fighters?

-My favorite fighter of all time is Lucia Rijker. She doesn’t fight MMA, she was a boxer, but she was a beast. Boxing is my first love so she takes the prize for my favorite fighter.

How do you enjoy your free time when not training or fighting?

-I don’t have too much free time during camps, but outside of that I am a big outdoors person. I am from Washington State so I enjoy things like hiking, rock climbing, snowboarding, stuff like that. I am also a big nerd, I love to read. Historical nonfiction is my genre of choice. Most people would find it boring but I love it.

For those who will inquire we have a couple questions for the male readership as well.

What do you look for in a guy?

-Somebody who understands the life of a fighter, who won’t get mad that you’re in the gym late or have different priorities than non-fighters.

What are your turn-ons?

-Drive, determination and never settling for mediocrity.

What are your turnoffs?

-Laziness and egotism.

What would you say is your best feature?

-I have strong legs, so I would say my legs.

Lastly before we let you go we would love to hear about your future plans and let you send some shout outs.

Any future plans or dreams?

-I am a paramedic now but I would love to be a flight medic one day. I think being in a helicopter while saving a life would be awesome. I also want to be the best 115 lb fighter in the world. Both of these dreams are feasible within 5 years for me.

Any shout outs you would like to make?

-CNP Professional Supplements, Sportsfood Technologies, Amber Sports Gear and Teaza Energy by Trim Nutrition. Thank you to my manager Anthony Hopkins, my friend Linda Kriner and my team at Next Edge Academy.

Thank you very much for your time Stephanie and good luck on fight night! Click here to purchase tickets to Stephanie’s fight or tune into Fight Pass to watch the live stream. Send your shout outs to Stephanie on Facebook and Twitter!
